Incubation Kick-off Pitch #6

On Monday, April 7th, starting at 18:00, the USI Startup Centre will host the sixth edition of the Incubation Kick-off Pitch at the East Campus. This recurring event welcomes recently admitted startups into the USI Startup Centre Incubation Programme, providing them with a platform to present their science-based projects to the university community.

The Incubation Kick-off Pitch marks the beginning of the startups’ journey in the USC incubation programme, where they will continue developing their ideas following a structured strategic pathway. Over this period, they will receive coaching from the USI Startup Centre team and external advisors, as well as gain access to key resources to support their business growth.

During the event, each participating startup will have 10 minutes to pitch their project, covering all key aspects, from market opportunity to core technology and business model. This will be followed by a 10-minute Q&A session, allowing the audience - including members of the USC Scientific Board, but also researchers and students - to engage with the teams, ask questions, and gain deeper insights into their innovative ideas.

18:15 – 19:00 – Startup pitches (10 min pitch + 10 min Q&A) 
19:00 – 19:15 – Awarding of programme vouchers
19:15 – 20:30 – Networking apéro 

Participating startups

• InVirtuoLabs – a startup founded by IDSIA researchers that provides an innovative platform for drug discovery by combining advanced machine learning techniques with physics-based simulations.

• MethylX – a startup originating from the IRB laboratories that is developing a first-in-class antibody therapy that specifically targets methylated ERG (mERG), a critical driver of prostate cancer growth and progression, offering a promising new approach for treatment.
