The deeptech startup building AI-powered systems for real-time visual inspection of production lines and critical industrial assets has been selected to participate in the MassChallenge Switzerland & UK Accelerator Programme 2026. Chosen from nearly 2,000 applications, the company is among the top 10% of applicants to secure a place in the final.

Flycatcher is tackling the challenge of current inspection processes that fail to detect previously unseen anomalies, which each year lead to costly operational disruptions, preventable incidents, and financial losses. Flycatcher takes a fundamentally different approach, using unsupervised anomaly detection to learn what “normal” looks like to overcome the limitations of existing monitoring approaches that rely on predefined anomaly datasets. Its technology runs directly on edge devices and integrates seamlessly with existing camera infrastructure.

The startup, currently incubated at the USI Startup Centre and supported by NVIDIA Inception, has already validated its AI-powered inspection approach in live operational environments, collaborating with leading players in the transportation and logistics industry.

Through the MassChallenge programme, one of the leading accelerators helping startups across Europe and beyond to grow their businesses, Flycatcher aims to strengthen its commercial strategy, refine its go-to-market approach and expand its network of industrial partners and customers. The programme will also provide valuable opportunities to engage with mentors, investors and industry experts as the company prepares for its next phase of growth. The participation to MassChallenge comes at an important moment for Flycatcher, as the team launches its first funding round to bring next-generation inspection capabilities to thousands of logistics gates, terminals and industrial assets worldwide.
