Business Concept - Life Sciences - Bellinzona
USI Startup Centre
Start date: 7 October 2025
End date: 16 December 2025
Bellinzona
The programme begins with an introductory bootcamp followed by ten evening sessions led by industry experts, equipping participants with the tools to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape and transform their scientific ideas into impactful life science ventures.
Business Concept Life Sciences is module 2 of the Innosuisse Entrepreneurship Training programme, organised in Ticino by USI Startup Centre in collaboration with SUPSI and designed for researchers, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in launching a science-based startup. The course combines theoretical insights and practical experience, as participants work in small teams that reflect a real early-stage startup environment. Each team will develop an entrepreneurial project proposed by one of its members, for this reason, all interested participants are encouraged to describe their innovative ideas in the application form (if they have one — it’s not mandatory).
Several successful startups now incubated at the USI Startup Centre began their journey through this program, gaining crucial insights and laying the foundation for their ventures.
Here is what Concetta Guerra Post doc scientist at Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) and co-founder and CEO of Methylex, one of the course alumni says:
“As a scientist, the Business Concept course helped me look at my work through an entrepreneurial lens. It gave me the tools and mindset to start exploring how to turn scientific discoveries into real-world solutions.”
This edition will take place in Bellinzona at Bios+ (Seminar Room).
The training is free of charge, includes dinner, and is conducted entirely in English.
